Faroe Islands

Private companies in the Faroe Islands currently need 350 employees, and in five years, the private sector could be short by up to 850 workers.

This information comes from a new survey conducted by the Chamber of Commerce, which was made public this morning. The Chamber surveyed 100 companies regarding their current and future staffing needs.

The findings highlight a significant demand for skilled workers, according to Páll Holm Johannesen, a consultant at the Chamber of Commerce who oversaw the study.

The survey underscores the urgent need for addressing workforce shortages in the region, particularly for skilled positions.
