Police investigate violent incident in Ojakkala, Vihti

Police in Western Uusimaa have launched an investigation into a violent incident involving a man under 30, who is suspected of attacking two adults in Ojakkala, Vihti. Following questioning, the suspect has admitted to the crime. The victims are related to the suspect; one was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other sustained injuries that required hospitalization.

Authorities plan to present the suspect to a court for detention tomorrow, Thursday. The police are continuing their preliminary investigation to gather more details about the events leading up to this violent act.

As part of the investigation, officers will conduct technical examinations and interview witnesses as well as other parties involved. Police Commissioner Rauli Salonen emphasized the ongoing nature of their inquiries, stating that the investigation will consider the incidents as both homicide and attempted homicide.
