Dagens Nyheter reporter departs after internal investigation into potential money laundering in Stockholm

Dagens Nyheter has conducted an internal investigation and reached an agreement resulting in the reporter’s departure, according to the publication. “We believe we now have enough information to consider this the right decision for us in reaching this agreement. This case, based on what we know today, is concluded for us,” stated Peter Wolodarski, the editor-in-chief of Dagens Nyheter.

The investigation stems from an incident in January when a woman, suspected of acting as a drug courier for the criminal network known as Foxtrot, was arrested by police. During the examination of her bank accounts, authorities discovered a deposit of 150,000 kronor from the reporter. The police are currently investigating this transaction as a potential case of money laundering, although the reporter has not been formally accused of any crime.
