Faroe Islands

Glasir could have significantly reduced the severance payment for the recently dismissed education director, which now appears to amount to 1.2 million kroner.

According to Jógvan Elias Winther Poulsen, the lawyer representing Elsa Maria Holm Olsen, the rector had the opportunity to lower the payment. In March, the rector was offered a chance to negotiate a severance agreement with the dismissed director, but she declined.

He stated that there were intentions to initiate a severance agreement after the termination was finalized; however, Una Joensen was unable to address the matter at that time, she added.

In her comments regarding the case, Joensen emphasized that she has indeed rejected a severance agreement. The deadline for any such agreement is today.
