Significant roof fire erupts over multiple buildings on Skarøgade in Østerbro, Copenhagen

A significant roof fire has erupted over multiple buildings on Skarøgade in Østerbro, Copenhagen, according to the capital’s emergency services. Operations Chief Martin Kjærsgaard stated that the fire extends across four buildings.

“We have initiated extensive evacuation efforts,” he said.

As of now, the Copenhagen Police are unable to provide information on how far the fire has spread. Police Duty Officer Michael Andersen reported that evacuation has started for at least seven buildings. Additionally, an area surrounding Skarøgade has been cordoned off from Tåsingegade to Reersøgade.
