Strandferðslan extends trial period for booking system in Faroe Islands

The booking system implemented by Strandferðslan has overall functioned well, but the trial period will be extended by one month while the system undergoes further evaluation.

“Prices will also be reassessed,” says Niels Juel Arge, director of Strandferðslan.

Currently, the booking system covers four routes: the Suduroy route, Kalsoy route, Mykines route, and Skúvoy route.

Erla Kongsdóttir, who is currently managing the Hest route, states that the booking system for this route is expected to be launched in about 14 days.

Niels Juel Arge also mentioned that the plan is to implement the booking system on the Nólsoy route within a month, followed by the Fugloy and Svínoy routes later this year.
