A large number of people have gathered in towns across the country, leading to increased activity for the police.

Last night, a car was stopped in the capital, Tórshavn, and the driver was arrested for having substances other than alcohol in their blood.

There were reports of numerous motocross riders and noisy vehicles driving through the town of Miðvágur, causing a disturbance. However, when the police arrived in Miðvágur, they could not locate the offenders.

Vehicles were also halted and inspected in Skopun and Kollafjørður, but everything appeared to be in order with those cars.

Shortly before 4 AM this morning, there was a commotion in Tórshavn, with poor weather conditions reported.
