Witnesses reported that two women and a man were stabbed near the area of the electric scooter company Hopp, close to Harpa. Staff from Hopp provided assistance to the injured before emergency responders arrived on the scene.

The capital’s fire department confirmed that four ambulances were dispatched to the location. A spokesperson noted a high volume of emergency calls, which is typical given the large crowd gathered in downtown Reykjavik for Culture Night.
