Saku Inomaa went missing in Tervakoski, Janakkala, in May 2015. According to MTV News, a berry picker discovered a skeleton near Lautamäentie, approximately three kilometers from where Inomaa was last seen nine years ago. Fragments of clothing were also found at the site. The skeleton was uncovered about one to two weeks ago, but MTV News could not obtain official confirmation from the Hämeen Police regarding whether they are investigating the remains as those of the missing Saku Inomaa, leaving open the possibility that the bones belong to someone else. DNA test results on the remains are currently awaited.

Inomaa, who was in his forties, was traveling by bus from Iittala to Helsinki when he unexpectedly exited the vehicle in Tervakoski in mid-May. He was searched for in areas around Tervakoski and Leppäkoski in Janakkala, as well as in Ryttylä, Hausjärvi, from the time he went missing until the onset of winter. He was declared dead last year, with a Helsinki District Court ruling marking May 16, 2020, as his date of death, as reported by Ilta-Sanomat last April. Inomaa’s disappearance has been discussed in Yle’s “Kadonnut” podcast.
