Workers in Faroe Islands report increased threats and negative behavior in workplace
Workers in the Faroe Islands are facing increased incidents of negative behavior and threats in the workplace, according to findings from a recent research project.
Negative behavior encompasses threats, violence, bullying, sexual harassment, discrimination, and harassment.
Óluva í Gong, the chairwoman of the Faroese Nurses Association, acknowledges that her members share experiences of this concerning issue. “It is essential to ensure a psychologically safe working environment through legislation,” says Óluva í Gong.
The study, which received responses from 9,420 individuals, was carried out by Annika Helgadóttir Davidsen, a lecturer in psychology, among others.
The topic was addressed earlier today in a discussion segment on the program “Breddin.”
