The recent shooting incidents in Nastola and Mukkula, which occurred last Tuesday and Friday respectively, are interconnected, according to Hämeen police. Investigation leader Virpi Nättiaho confirmed that the cases involve disputes between two main suspects. The man arrested near the school in Nastola is one of these primary suspects. He had previously been apprehended over the weekend in connection with the Mukkula shooting.

The police have also confirmed that all firearms used in both incidents are currently in their custody. The shootings in both Mukkula and Nastola involved handguns. Nättiaho stated that the intent of the suspect linked to the ongoing investigation in Nastola was not to pose a threat to outsiders.

The preliminary investigation is still underway, and there are no longer any suspects in police custody related to the shooting incidents. In Mukkula, charges include illegal threats, endangerment, and firearm offenses. Meanwhile, the Nastola events are being investigated as illegal threats, firearm-related crimes, and aggravated violations of domestic peace.
