Asta Fróðadóttir Joensen appointed new general secretary of Akafemikarafelagið in the Faroe Islands

The Akafemikarafelagið (the Academic Feminist Society) has appointed Asta Fróðadóttir Joensen as the new general secretary of the organization. She will succeed Ingibjørg Berg, who is transitioning to a different position.
The society announced the appointment on its official website.
Born in 1987, Asta Fróðadóttir Joensen is a trained social scientist with a Master’s degree in law. In recent years, she has worked in the HR department, where her responsibilities included significant involvement in contract negotiations. Additionally, she has experience as a political advisor, as well as roles in writing and coordination.
Asta will officially take on her new role as general secretary on October 1st.
