Foreign Affairs Committee approves Prime Minister’s pursuit of Faroese WTO membership

Today, the Foreign Affairs Committee has granted the Prime Minister permission to further pursue independent Faroese membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO).

A meeting will take place next week at the ministerial level involving representatives from the Faroe Islands, Denmark, and Greenland. In light of this, the Foreign Affairs Committee discussed how to advance the matter so that the Faroe Islands can obtain WTO membership.
