Police apprehend two men after high-speed pursuit through West Uusimaa in Finland

On Tuesday, August 20, the West Uusimaa Police conducted a pursuit operation that spanned multiple municipalities. The situation began with a suspected case of driving under the influence. The police received a report of a possible DUI shortly before noon. When officers ordered the driver to stop, he refused and fled the scene.

The chase extended from Kirkkonummi to Espoo and Kauniainen, then continued through Vihti towards Lohja. Ultimately, the police managed to stop the vehicle in Lohja, apprehending two adult men from the car.

According to the police, the driver created numerous dangerous situations during the pursuit. It is known that the fleeing vehicle collided with at least one car. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, according to the police’s latest information.

The police have initiated an investigation to further clarify the sequence of events. In the preliminary stages of the investigation, they suspect the driver of at least serious endangerment of traffic safety.
