Record number of students in special education classes raises concerns in Norway
The new school year has begun, and once again, the number of students in special education classes has reached a record high.
This figure has steadily increased in recent years, with double the number of students in special education today compared to 2019.
However, a pressing question remains: why are the resources in public schools not keeping pace with the growing number of students?
This issue is one of many being discussed in today’s episode of Breddan, which has returned from its summer break.
Guests on the radio program include Tóra Petersen, a welfare advisor at Námi, and Johan Marner Stenberg, the head of Gula Skúla.
