The arrival of large cruise ships in Tórshavn presents a promising opportunity for local businesses, according to Elsa Maria Magnusardóttir Olsen, coordinator at Visit Tórshavn.
Yesterday, the Dutch cruise ship Nieuw Statendam docked in the port, bringing 2,600 passengers and a crew of 900. This influx of tourists has drawn attention to the potential benefits for the retail sector.
