COVID-19 cases rising sharply in Iceland, warns Health Authority director Bjarni á Steig

The spread of COVID-19 is escalating at this time, according to Bjarni á Steig, director of the Health Authority.

For the past three weeks, the Health Authority has urged individuals to report if they have tested positive for the virus through home testing.

During the summer, a total of eight individuals have been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 while being hospitalized.
