Recent changes made by the government to social security and unemployment benefits are significantly impacting many families with children. Among the alterations, housing support has been reduced, the 300 euro protection allowance for unemployment benefits has been eliminated, and additional child benefits have ceased.

Yle’s investigative journalism team, MOT, is producing a documentary that examines the effects of these cuts. They are seeking to interview families who have been directly affected or will be affected by these changes.

They are interested in hearing how these decisions have altered your family’s life. If you would like to participate in the program or share your story, you can reach out via the contact form provided. For further information, you can also email journalists Jouni Munukka and Tiina Lundell at [email protected] and [email protected]. All communications will be kept confidential, and your name or any responses will not be published without your consent.

Consider how the cuts to social security and unemployment benefits have affected your family. In what ways are these changes altering or going to alter your daily life? Are you willing to participate in an interview using your name?

If you wish to respond, please provide your name (optional), phone number (optional), and email address (optional).
