A lengthy indictment is set to be presented to the trial court in the Faroe Islands on September 2nd.

The indictment details 11 charges against a 21-year-old man. He is accused of rape, attempted rape, and engaging in sexual acts with two girls younger than 15 years old. Additional charges include sexual assault, filming a girl without consent, and administering Ritalin.

Among the charges, the man faces accusations of at least five rapes concerning the same victim. Most of the alleged offenses occurred last year, while one took place in 2022 and another in 2021. Three of the four girls involved in the case were aged 13 or 14 at the time of the incidents, while the two girls with whom he allegedly had sexual relations were aged 12 and 14.

The trial proceedings are scheduled to begin on Monday, September 2nd, with five days dedicated to the hearings that week. The trial court will oversee the case due to the prosecution’s request for a minimum sentence of four years in prison without parole.

The accused was apprehended in October of last year and has remained in custody since. He denies all charges against him.
