Air traffic disrupted by strong winds in Faroe Islands

Air traffic has been significantly disrupted by strong winds experienced yesterday.

While all flights scheduled to depart were able to do so, it was much more challenging to bring aircraft into the Faroe Islands.

As a result, the last flights expected to arrive last night were canceled and rescheduled for today.

Although there is somewhat less wind today, air travel is still affected, as evidenced by numerous delays.

Two flights landed in the morning, but virtually all others have been delayed. Some flights will not arrive until late tonight.

If all goes according to plan, 13 flights are expected to land and four flights will have departed by the end of the day.
