Danish and Swedish police enhance collaboration amid rise in violent crime

Starting tomorrow, Danish and Swedish police will enhance their collaboration due to recent violent crimes committed by Swedish citizens in Denmark. Swedish police will be deployed in Copenhagen beginning Monday, while Danish officers are already present in Malmö.

The initiative aims to prevent, detect, and address crimes associated with serious organized crime. The increased police presence will continue as long as deemed necessary by law enforcement. It is important to note that Swedish police will operate only on Swedish territory, not in Denmark.

Last week, Denmark announced stricter border controls with Sweden in response to rising concerns over cross-border crime.
