Chief Keef cancels performance at Blockfest festival in Tampere due to travel issues

Chief Keef, the headlining artist for the Blockfest festival, has cancelled his performance due to issues with travel documentation. The event organizers announced this via an Instagram update on Wednesday evening. According to the organizers, the artist was unable to obtain the necessary travel papers in time.

Chief Keef was scheduled to perform on Friday. The update detailed that despite the artist’s eagerness to attend until the very last moment, he could not get the required documents in time, and the festival received notice of the cancellation shortly before the announcement.

The post garnered over 500 comments within the first hour on Instagram. Organizers stated they will announce a replacement act as soon as possible.

Blockfest will take place at Ratinan Stadium in Tampere over the upcoming weekend, from August 16 to 18.
