Sunndalsøra, a town in Norway, recorded a tropical night with temperatures remaining above 20.6 degrees Celsius, according to meteorologist Marit Berger. This trend is not unexpected for the area, known for its warm conditions.

Around the same time, other regions in Møre og Romsdal and Nordland also experienced high temperatures, but only four locations crossed the 20-degree mark necessary to classify as a tropical night. Berger noted that some people might find themselves needing to forgo blankets again on Thursday night, as warming trends may persist in certain areas, although a slight decline in temperatures is anticipated.

In contrast, while southern Norway has faced a wet summer, northern Norway has enjoyed much better weather. The coming days are expected to bring unstable weather conditions across much of the country, with low-pressure systems in the Norwegian Sea leading to varying precipitation.

Meteorological forecasts indicate that southern Norway will predominantly see gray skies and rainfall, though there will be intermittent dry spells. The north, particularly parts of Finnmark and Troms, is expected to miss much of the rain, enjoying sunnier and drier weather as one travels further north and east.

As the weather continues to fluctuate, it is clear that regions in northern Norway are set to benefit from favorable conditions while southern areas brace for more rain.
