Salmonella has been detected in fresh red chard during routine testing. Since red chard is also an ingredient in crispy salad mixes and seasonal mixes, these products are being recalled as a precautionary measure. Additionally, the recall has been extended to include three other products. The affected products are ICA Seasonal Mix 65g with a best-before date of August 17, 2024, ICA Crispy Salad Mix 65g, and ICA Crisp Salad Mix 65g, both with a best-before date of August 16, 2024.

ICA stated in a press release, “We conduct thorough quality controls on all products we market. We take this incident seriously and are currently investigating with the supplier how this occurred and how we can ensure it does not happen again.”
