Jonas Falk apprehended by Spanish police amid serious arson and extortion investigation

Jonas Falk was apprehended by the Spanish police shortly after a decision for his arrest was made, as reported. His hearing took place on Tuesday at the Södertörn District Court, although Falk was not present. He is suspected of serious arson and attempted extortion related to a blackmail case involving Joachim Kuylenstierna, according to the arrest application. Prosecutor Anna Stråth indicated there is a risk that Falk may evade justice, hinder the investigation, and continue his criminal activities. The court has ruled that Falk should be remanded in custody concerning the extortion charges and he is also suspected of being an accomplice to serious arson.

Ten years ago, Jonas Falk was acquitted as the alleged main figure in “Playa,” one of Sweden’s largest drug trafficking cases.
