A trailer filled with personal belongings, including a sofa, bed, washing machine, clothing, and irreplaceable family heirlooms, was stolen from a parking lot in Orkland municipality, Norway. The trailer belonged to Aurora Hammerhaug-Selvåg, a nursing student from Hitra who was moving to Ålesund. Initially, her family thought the trailer had been towed, only to discover later that it had been stolen.

Among the lost items were baptism gifts, mementos from her late grandmother, and knitted sweaters from her great-grandmothers and grandmothers. In addition, Hammerhaug-Selvåg also lost school books worth 15,000 NOK and her nursing uniforms. The incident has been reported to the police, but with each passing day, hope diminishes for recovering the stolen belongings.

The family had parked the trailer overnight while they planned to stay in Trondheim before traveling to their new apartment. Upon returning on Friday morning, they found nothing left in the spot where they parked. They quickly ruled out towing as the trailer was legally parked and locked with a robust approved lock. The family suspects that someone may have used a cutting tool to steal the trailer.

Following the theft, they had to shop for everything that was supposed to be in the trailer. Aurora expressed concern over the unique items that cannot be replaced, highlighting the emotional weight of her loss. The police are interested in tips, but with each passing day, the situation appears increasingly grim. Aurora fears she may never see her belongings again.
