Ministry of Finance concludes internal budget negotiations under Finance Minister Riikka Purra in Finland

Internal budget negotiations within the Ministry of Finance regarding next year’s government spending are set to conclude on Thursday. The discussions commenced on Wednesday, led by Finance Minister Riikka Purra. Participating in the negotiations are Local Government and Regional Minister Anna-Kaisa Ikonen and Economic Minister Wille Rydman.

Purra stated on Wednesday that the government does not aim to pursue additional savings in next year’s budget. Instead, the government may offset some planned cuts with alternative measures.
