Recently, Yle reported that a business owner of an erotic store in Tampere has faced significant difficulties in opening a bank account with Finnish banks. According to the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, this issue is also affecting various other sectors across Finland. The Ministry of Finance has conducted inquiries regarding the availability of banking services for both businesses and individuals.

Yle is currently investigating whether private customers have encountered similar challenges with banking transactions. They invite individuals to share their experiences via an online form, asking how their banking interactions have gone.

The inquiry specifically seeks to know if private individuals have faced problems with banks when trying to open accounts or if banks have unexpectedly ceased their services. Respondents are encouraged to elaborate on their experiences, including any justifications provided by banks for difficulties in opening accounts or service terminations.

The responses will be used solely for the upcoming article, and Yle assures that personal contact information will not be shared with third parties. Those interested in contributing are requested to provide their full name, phone number, and email address. Additionally, they are asked whether they would be open to being interviewed or having their responses included in the article.
