The police in Ostrobothnia have received several tips related to a man they are searching for, but they are still hoping for more information regarding his movements and whereabouts. The man is suspected of being involved in a shooting incident that occurred last Saturday in Seinäjoki at Pub Härmän Häjy.

“We have reviewed the tips, and our work is ongoing. Investigations are still in progress,” stated Markku Kaperi, the lead investigator from the Ostrobothnia police.

Last Wednesday, the South Ostrobothnia District Court remanded three men who are suspected of being involved in the restaurant shooting. Kaperi mentioned that police have already interrogated the suspects multiple times and have also spoken with the victims and witnesses.

“The suspects remain in custody for the time being. The situation will be reassessed when further hearings occur,” he added.

The details of the incident that took place on the Saturday evening at the end of July are slowly coming together for the police, but the motive remains unclear.

“There seems to have been a dispute between two groups that ultimately led to the shootings,” Kaperi explained. He believes that the preliminary investigation will continue for a considerable time.

The men in custody are facing charges of attempted manslaughter, firearm offenses, and creating a danger to others. They are aged 31, 32, and 46. The shooting left five people injured, three of whom were seriously hurt. One of the injured was a security guard.
