Faroe Islands win first medal in Nordic shooting championship

Today marks a historic moment in Faroese sports history, as the Faroe Islands have won their first medal in a Nordic shooting championship.

Tórur Fløtt from Sunda Byrsufelag has claimed silver in the Olympic skeet event.

Tórur’s preliminary scores were impressive enough that, when compared to the results of the Olympic competition held in Paris simultaneously, he was only two clays away from qualifying for an Olympic final spot.

This achievement was announced in a press release by the Faroese Shooting Association.
