The Nature Conservation Committee in Sands Municipality is expected to reach a decision regarding the wind turbines in Klivaløkshaga later in August.

Kristjan Martin Joensen, the municipal administrator and chairman of the committee, confirmed this information.

The committee has received an application from the Danish Energy Agency for a principle license to install seven wind turbines to the west of Sands village, potentially in one or more locations in Klivaløkshaga.

Additionally, permission is being sought to construct access roads for the turbines through the designated areas in Fjallshaga.

An on-site meeting was held on June 26.

If any appeals are made against the nature conservation committee’s decision, the matter will be further addressed by the Higher Nature Conservation Committee.
