The individuals arrested in connection with the recent shooting incident in Seinäjoki have extensive prior records, including multiple court proceedings and criminal convictions. According to documents obtained through a request to Finland’s district courts, at least one of the suspects, a man born in 1993 and registered in North Karelia, has appeared in courts across Finland on numerous occasions, resulting in several convictions. His criminal history begins with a theft conviction from his youth related to gasoline theft.

Most of his convictions involve driving under the influence, unauthorized vehicle use, petty thefts, and burglaries, leading to both fines and prison sentences. His offenses have engaged district courts in regions including Kainuu, South Ostrobothnia, Kymenlaakso, Central Finland, Southwest Finland, Ostrobothnia, Päijät-Häme, and West Uusimaa. He currently faces charges related to robbery in the Ostrobothnia District Court.

Two other arrested individuals also have criminal records. Notably, a man born in 1991 was sentenced to prison for offenses including drunk driving, unauthorized vehicle operation, and aggravated endangerment of traffic safety. He also has a conviction for a firearm-related crime. Another suspect, born in 1977, has been convicted of aggravated fraud and two firearm offenses.

Some of these convictions are not final, as appeals may be pending in the Court of Appeal. The three men were arrested based on a South Ostrobothnia district court order on Wednesday, following a shooting at a pub in Seinäjoki last Saturday night that resulted in five injuries.
