Minister D. Strøm supports wind farm proposal at Klivaløkshaga in Sandur despite concerns

The Minister for Environment and Energy has no plans to halt the proposal for a wind farm at Klivaløkshaga in Sandur, despite acknowledging concerns about the project.

Ingilín D. Strøm stands by the Environmental Agency’s assessment, even as ornithologist Silas Olofson strongly urges the authorities to abandon the plan.

“We must protect our nature, but we also need to promote the green energy transition. This creates a challenging dilemma,” says the Minister for Environment and Energy.
