Explosion reported in Hässleholm and shooting incident in Åstorp, Sweden

During the night leading into Thursday, police were alerted to an explosion at an address in Hässleholm, Sweden. The blast reportedly caused material damage to buildings in the area; however, there are no reported injuries.

In a separate incident, a man was shot at while walking on a street in Åstorp, located in northwestern Skåne, also during the night before Thursday. The man reported hearing multiple gunshots and witnessing muzzle flashes. Fortunately, he sustained no physical injuries and is not believed to be facing any threat.

In a notable development regarding the September 11 attacks, the individual identified as the mastermind behind the 2001 terrorist incidents in the United States is reportedly prepared to plead guilty, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
