Three men placed in custody over shooting incident at Härmän Häjy restaurant in Seinäjoki

The South Ostrobothnia District Court placed three men in custody on Wednesday, suspected of involvement in a shooting incident that occurred at a restaurant in Seinäjoki last Saturday. The suspects are aged 31, 32, and 46.

The shooting took place in the Härmän Häjy restaurant located in downtown Seinäjoki on Saturday evening. Emergency reports indicate that there were at least two shooters. At the time of the incident, dozens of people were present in the restaurant.

In total, five individuals were injured in the shooting, with three of those injuries classified by police as serious. Among the injured is a security personnel who was working at the restaurant.

Police have apprehended a total of six suspects in connection with the case. The investigation is focusing on charges of attempted murder, firearm offenses, and causing a danger to public safety.
