Government proposes special tax on aquaculture industry in Denmark

Wednesday 31st 2024 on 08:18 in
Faroe Islands

The government has not forgotten the agreement regarding the fishing fee that the ruling coalition and the Union Party established last spring.

According to this agreement, the aquaculture industry will be required to pay an additional special tax on top of the fishing fee.

The legislative proposal for this special tax is still in the works, but it is expected to be prepared this autumn, as stated in the political agreement reached earlier.

The proposal for the special tax will be presented this fall, according to the government’s legislative agenda.

The special tax will amount to eight percent.
