A powerful storm is expected to bring winds of up to 35 meters per second to western Iceland this evening and into tomorrow. Weather experts have issued yellow warnings ahead of the storm, which is associated with a deep low-pressure system moving across the region.

The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration has reiterated safety warnings for travelers in light of the approaching severe weather conditions. The yellow warnings will take effect at midnight, with gusts anticipated to reach 30 to 35 m/s in specific areas, including Kjalarnes, under Hafnarfjall, and the northern parts of Snæfellsnes.

Travelers are encouraged to monitor wind measurements provided by the Icelandic authorities as they plan their journeys. The area is bracing for significant disruptions due to the impending high winds, which could pose hazards to road safety and travel.
