Two arrests made in drug cartel case in El Paso and British player dies in drowning at Gothia Cup in Alingsås

Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, a notorious leader of a Mexican drug cartel, was arrested along with the son of his former partner, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, in El Paso, Texas, on Thursday, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

In a separate incident, a British player participating in the Gothia Cup has died following a drowning accident at Nolhaga Parkbad in Alingsås last Friday. The player had sustained life-threatening injuries during the incident.

Additionally, gunfire was reported at a residence in Stuvsta, Huddinge, late Thursday evening. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the shooting.
