Landsverk, the Faroese public works department, has faced numerous challenges in recent years, including issues surrounding various projects such as Glasir, the H-building, and currently Hamragarður in Vágur. This has resulted in significant turnover in management, with several directors losing their positions.

The new director appointed is 49-year-old Marjun Weihe Thomassen, an economist who previously served as the financial manager at Bústøðum for 11 years. She is fully aware of the difficulties posed by the construction projects and aims to focus on further developing and strengthening financial and project management within Landsverk.

Thomassen does not see her background in economics as a disadvantage in leading Landsverk, despite the technical nature of the projects. She is determined to tackle the challenges head-on and bring stability to the organization amidst a period of transformation.
