Viewers confused by KVF’s new drone coverage of rowing events in Føroyar

Viewers have expressed confusion regarding the recent broadcasts of rowing events by KVF, which have differed from past presentations. Notably, KVF has opted for drone footage instead of images from the sending boat, and there have been significant issues with the narration by Suni Merkistein on the radio.

The problem, as confirmed by Dánja Tavsen, the lead producer at Kringvarp Føroya, stems from challenges with the new 5G technology provided by Føroya Tele.

The complications are so extensive that Kringvarp will not be utilizing the 5G network for the upcoming transmission from the rowing event scheduled for Ólavsøk.
