Thirteen candidates have applied for the position of director of the Ministry of Infrastructure in Iceland, as announced on the official website of the Icelandic government.

The applicants are as follows:

– Björg Erlingsdóttir, former Mayor
– Guðjón Atlason, Project Manager
– Guðrún Ögmundsdóttir, Office Manager at the Office of Operations and Internal Services
– Harpa Þrastardóttir, Business Owner
– Hildur H. Dungal, Acting Office Manager at the Office of Housing and Planning
– Ingilín Kristmannsdóttir, Office Manager at the Office of Policy and Finance
– Kristín Þórðardóttir, Sheriff in South Iceland and Acting Sheriff in Vestmannaeyjar
– Margrét Hallgrímsdóttir, Office Manager of Infrastructure and Development
– Mæva Marlene Urbschat, Forester
– Róbert Ragnarsson, Project Manager
– Sigríður Auður Arnardóttir, Lawyer and former Director of the Ministry
– Sigurbergur Björnsson, Attaché at the Embassy in Brussels

The position was advertised in mid-June, and the application deadline was July 19.
