Thirteen candidates have applied for the position of director at the Ministry of Infrastructure in Iceland, as announced on the official website of the government.

The applicants are as follows:

– Björg Erlingsdóttir, former Mayor
– Guðjón Atlason, Project Manager
– Guðrún Ögmundsdóttir, Manager of the Operations and Internal Services Office
– Harpa Þrastardóttir, Business Owner
– Hildur H Dungal, Acting Office Manager for Housing and Planning Issues
– Ingilín Kristmannsdóttir, Office Manager of Policy and Finance
– Kristín Þórðardóttir, District Commissioner of Suðurland and Acting District Commissioner in Vestmannaeyjar
– Margrét Hallgrímsdóttir, Office Manager for Infrastructure and Development
– Mæva Marlene Urbschat, Forester
– Róbert Ragnarsson, Project Manager
– Sigríður Auður Arnardóttir, Lawyer and former Ministry Director
– Sigurbergur Björnsson, Second Secretary at the Embassy in Brussels

The position was advertised in mid-June, and the application deadline was July 19.
